Colbert was wrong in trying to re sell Lessig’s book. Remixing is is legal, but there has to be at least some sort of significant difference made in order to not violate the copyright laws. Colbert simply changed the title and the author and added an illustration. He changed three minor details to a solid book, something a court would have recognized as a violation of copyright.
